Day 23

So this little post a day is really starting to become a habit.
Yay!

So yeah ... we live in a zoo.

We now have three dogs, three goldfish and three mice. I SO want to say three blind mice, but I alas they have full vision seemingly. So now that you all have that little nursery rhyme in your head 😂😂

Annnnnyway .... here is the super cute Penelope Wonderwoman with her best buddy the Hurricane crazy dog.

Summer!

I've been seeing all these photos of snow everywhere courtesy of Facebook and Instagram. Can I say I'm kind of jealous at the moment? I always loved summer, the consistency of long, hot, sunny days just made me happy. But as I get older it starts to wear a bit thin when it's ridiculously hot.  According to the news, our summer hasn't been too hot (although it feels like it has been), and we've had a few milder days and colder nights in the last week or so which was awesome. We have had 15 days over 35 celcius (95F), in January, and I know there were a few in December and November too. But today is another one, and according to forecasts we are set for a record breaking heat wave over the next week. It's supposed to get up to 42c (110F), and not go below 39 celcius (103), for at least the next week possibly longer. Sleeping All Night and Other Updates!

It's been a little while since I posted on here so to make up for it you get to see Penelope in action! I'll have a few videos of the Little Miss later in the post so you can see her giggle and play. So on to what's been happening around here the last week or so: well.....last night was a momentous occasion! Or should I say this morning? Little Miss Penelope slept all night for the very first time!!! Yep, that's right. I got a full 7 hours sleep in a row for the first time in over 6 months! I did wake around 5:30am and peered over into her cot from my bed. I could see her starting to stir a little so I closed my eyes and went back to blissful slumber and the next thing I knew it was 6:30am and she was happily talking to herself, wide awake and smiling. She was happy to have big cuddles with her brother when he got up. It was very exciting, so excuse me while I relish in the moment of what a full nights' sleep actually feels like! Society, The Beach and A Bit of An Epiphany

Yet another month has passed now and we are well into 2015. I've been doing a fair bit of thinking over the last few months, mostly because I was so sick and 1) had convinced myself that I was in fact dying of some horrible unknown disease, and 2) I have been not stressing as such, but thinking a lot about Sam turning 18 this year and my approaching 'milestone' birthday, and my Grandparents and parents...... Happy to say I am obviously not dying of some horrible disease and in fact actually feel about a zillion times better now that the problem has been found and resolved. So aside from feeling a little silly for being so dramatic, in true 'Sarah' fashion I have had somewhat of an epiphany.
