2nd Annual Wherry Halloween Party!

Image
As promised, here is the round up of our 2nd annual Wherry Halloween party! The photos of course do not do it justice - we spent hours decorating outside and the place looked spectacular! We had carved our pumpkins during the week; would you believe we actually had to do it separately as we are so busy we couldn't find time to do it together as a family!! Between work for The Awesome One, the Social One and the Eldest One, plus running art lessons for me we just didn't have an afternoon at home all together. So we did them on different days depending on who was home. But the important thing I guess is that they got done and looked very cool! I worked hard on the costumes; the Awesome One was Obi Wan Kenobi, I was Princess Leia, Little Dude was Luke Skywalker and Miss P was R2D2. The girls bucked the Star Wars trend and went as Red Riding Hood, Wednesday Addams (with blonde hair) and Zombie Belle (from Beauty and the Beast). I had made th...

How To Make A Life Size Halloween Mummy for Under $50

I was planning on making another Halloween 'thing' this year, but between all the stuff we've had going on lately plus it being only FOUR weeks until we leave for the States, it's just not going to happen. I am extremely happy with how he turned out, he was cheap and easy to make, although he was a little more time intensive than I had thought it would be. Materials were easy to find ...

Follow my blog with Bloglovin Yep, you read right, this will be an annual thing! We had so much fun, and although it may have seemed like I was going a little overboard with the decorations it was totally worth it.  Our Jack-O-Lanterns all lit up Everyone got right into the spirit of it and dressed up, which definitely made me a happy little Vegemite! The only photo where we are all looking in the same direction, even though there were about 6 taken! I did so much preparation for the party; I made 9 full and part costumes (mostly tutus so I loved doing them!) as well as making labels for the drink and decor jars and my Mummy. On Friday we spent the day decorating, and almost ran out of time to get ourselves ready! But we did, and all the effort really helped to make the party.  Little Miss Penelope was so tired because she hadn't really slept much at all during the day wanting instead to be in on the decorating action (as mu...
